Listen to the stories of students and graduates here. You will see a team number behind each name. We think of each new group of students, starting at Social Innovation, as a team. The lower the team number the older the person is probably 😉

Programme

Here we briefly explain how the Social Innovation programme is designed. Want to know more? We are happy to tell you.

Expedition

Expedition

The expedition is the thread running through the social innovation programme. Within the expedition, you conduct research on a topic you find interesting, build a network and learn how to turn your interest into professional opportunities.

Topic days

Topic days

Topic days are offered for all designs. These are days when you usually go to a company or organisation and get new theory and content explained by a tutor. You immediately start working with the content. Later, you can use this content in one of your projects.

3 Design labs

3 Designs labs

There are 3 design labs . Designs are the different modules of the Social Innovation programme. A lab is like a class, but is tailored each week to the content you and your fellow students need for your project.

Experience Design

Experience Design

Within experience design, you will learn how to develop new, innovative products and services with a meaningful experience. During the weekly experience design lab moments, you work together on projects.

Community Design

Community Design

Within community design, you learn how to build communities around a social issue, an event or organisation. Every week there is a lab and you work together on your projects in it.

Process Design

Process Design

Binnen process design leer je hoe je creatieve sessie en dialogen ontwerpt voor innovatie. Zoals bij iedere Design Lab, kun je op ieder moment in je studie met een project starten.

Going abroad

It can be almost your entire study, but it doesn't have to be.

Going abroad

If you like that, you can go abroad for almost your entire study at Social Innovation. You can go on exchange (study at another university), you can do internships abroad and you can do international projects.

Extention

Internship, minor, exchange

Extention

One of the unique parts of the Social Innovation programme is the extention. 30 credits that you are free to use, as long as you can explain why it is relevant to your future. An extra internship, a minor or perhaps a module at one of the other academies.

Lots of structure and guidance

Every day!

Structure

The social innovation programme is organised differently from what you are used to, but it actually provides a lot of structure. Every week, the timetable looks the same and there are lecturers and fellow students available every day to think with you and help you.

Performatory

Homebase Social Innovation

Performatory

In het centrum van de campus (Frontier building) is de thuisbasis van Social Innovation, genaamd Performatory. Er is een livingroom, verschillende werkruimtes en allerlei materialen die je kunt gebruiken. Een plek om te studeren en te ontspannen.
